The New York Mets will put their six-game winning streak on the line tonight in Tampa Bay with Jacob deGrom on the mound. Wright progressing.

Six wins in a row for the ultra hot New York Mets is only half the story. The other half comes from how desperate a situation they seemed to be stuck in just 10-days ago.

In any event, they’ll place their win streak on the line tonight in Tampa Bay against the Rays. Jacob deGrom (10-6, 2.09 ERA) will take the ball from Terry Collins and oppose Rays starter Jake Odorizzi (6-6, 2.06 ERA).

Meanwhile, the captain, David Wright, continues to progress in his rehab from the incredibly bleak diagnosis of Spinal-Stenosis.

He’s doing baseball things in Port St. Lucie, even talking to media about his current progress.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM ET tonight from Tampa.
