The New York Knicks dream duo, Kristaps Porzingis and Kevin Knox, meet for the first time and take those first steps towards a beautiful friendship.

Kristaps Porzingis and Kevin Knox. Kevin Knox and Kristaps Porzingis. These two represent the young top 10 studs of the New York Knicks.

Finally, they have met.

According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the two met each other and Knox was really taken aback by just how tall KP actually is.

“He’s taller than I expected,’’ the 6-9 Knox told The Post. “He’s 7-3. I thought when they someone’s 7-3, he’s really a little more than 7 foot. He’s 7-3. Mitchell (Robinson) is about 7 foot. He was standing over Mitch.”

The two Knickerbockers high-draft selections met on Wednesday at the Tarrytown facility. Of course, due to the nature of Porzingis’s injury (ACL tear), he’s been somewhat of a ghost as it concerns Knicks-related homes (locker room, Madison Square Garden, headquarters, etc.).

He was there with his teammates on Wednesday.

“He looked pretty good walking around — making right strides,’’ said Knox, making a promotional appearance for Subway’s new chipotle cheesesteak in lower Manhattan. “Porzingis was there cheering us on during conditioning tests. He looked excited and I look forward to playing with him. He looked really healthy.’’

KP, despite all of his attributes, is in desperate need of a perimeter star (whenever he comes back to action). Perhaps the extremely long and explosive Kevin Knox is exactly what the basketball doctor ordered.

The first step has officially been taken between the young duo. They’ve now met.
