New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose voiced his opinions to the media on Wednesday claiming this year’s team will bring the fanbase back.

On Wednesday, New York Knicks point guard, Derrick Rose, spoke with the media to talk about the team not having as strong of a fan base as they once had, and he seemed very optimistic about being able to reel those fans back in.

“We’re going to get to the point where we’re going to bring some Knick fans back to us,” Rose said Wednesday. “Like the fans who gave up on the team probably a while ago, just off the strength of the direction the team was going. We’re going to bring them back.”

It will be tough for this Knicks team to revitalize the fan base, being that the team has only won one playoff series in the past 14 years. The only way Rose can fulfill this goal is by winning games and, for the most part, New York is doing that this year.

New York currently has a record of 15-13 and are ranked as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. As long as they can keep their winning ways up unlike years past, they can help earn the trust in their fan base again for the first time in a while.
