New York Knicks big man Joakim Noah remembers Kevin Garnett and the time he almost bit him while playing for the Brooklyn Nets.

This is an interesting one. On Saturday, after word came down that future hall of fame NBA legend Kevin Garnett was retiring, one of his opponents through the years posted a remembrance.

It was New York Knicks big man Joakim Noah, who battled with Garnett as a member of the Chicago Bulls for so many years.

Noah’s caption was appropriate:

“I will always remember competing against him. I learned a lot in these battles.”

Where the fun comes into play is when realizing which photo Noah chose to put up on his Instagram account. It’s a photo of the infamous “almost biting” incident.

Garnett was a member of the Brooklyn Nets at the time and the two were locked in a heated battle near the left elbow.

It was just one prime example of how Garnett always tried to gain the mental edge over the opponent, something Noah also prides himself on.
