Jose Reyes, with ice water running through his veins, ties the game for his New York Mets with this 2-run shot to right field.

With one crack of the bat, the faithful in Flushing witnessed their guy tie the game.

Jose Reyes, the man who was so overly criticized upon his return to the organization that gave him his first big league shot, has not only been one of the most important players for the New York Mets down the stretch but comes up with monster hits.

His latest clutch shot came on Thursday night.

With the Philadelphia Phillies leading 6-4 in the bottom of the 9th-inning, Reyes hit a monstrous 2-run shot with Brandon Nimmo on first base (single) to tie the game (video above).

Previously, the struggling Jay Bruce struck out. Asdrubal Cabrera also struck out following Reyes and Yoenis Cespedes was also unsuccessful.

The two teams now play on into extra innings.
