If there’s one thing Carmelo Anthony loves, it’s watching his son dominate fellow New York Knicks teammate Lance Thomas in Mortal Kombat.

Yeah … it’s still the offseason ladies and gentlemen.

To be more precise, it’s September 2. This means real New York Knicks basketball is still close to two months away.

Therefore, the players, just like the fans, need to preoccupy themselves. Hobbies, games, basket-weaving, or maybe even Mortal Kombat is needed to get us through these non-NBA days.

Carmelo Anthony and son have the right idea.

Check out the above video. Melo’s son is playing Mortal Kombat. Well, playing is just an operative word. Melo’s son is actually dominating his competition in a game of Mortal Kombat.

His competition? None other than Melo’s teammate, Lance Thomas.

Listen, Lance, there’s no shame in this. Last week I was whooped on by an eight-year-old in Madden. Unfortunately, it happens.

In full disclosure, the caption of “LT” in the video leads everybody to assume it’s Lance Thomas, but we don’t know this as a certainty. But hey, let’s pretend it is. The story wouldn’t be as entertaining.
