New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom was placed on the Family Emergency List, Sunday, due to ‘complications’ with his newborn son, Jaxon.

Of course, deGrom will be allowed all the time he needs to deal with his situation appropriately.
Terry Collins said:
“We’re all praying and pulling for him…He’s not sleeping much and we’re certainly rooting for him. It’s a real life situation.”
Still, Mets fans who find themselves terribly worried about deGrom’s tight lat muscle were given the pleasing news that Jacob is healing as expected.
The injury that caused him to skip his last start, Tuesday, has nothing to do with his impending absence next week. He will not pitch next Tuesday solely because of the family issue. He will, however, throw a 40-pitch bullpen session on Sunday.
Obviously, Jacob has other things to worry about now. Good luck to the deGrom family and their son, Jaxon.
