On a very nondescript day in the big city, New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis hit the airwaves with Mike Francesa on WFAN.

On a very boring day in the big city, the talk of the town made the rounds today. He visited the Michael Kay Show on ESNY New York, and, of course, Mike Francesa on WFAN Sports Radio 660.

Coming off a blowout loss to the Miami Heat, New York Knicks rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis decided to get in a conversation with the sports’ pope himself.

They discussed everything from his hot start, the Knicks as a team, and his transition to the NBA from his native-Latvia.

“I’m still expecting bigger things from myself,” Porzingis told Francesa. “I’m still missing a lot of shots. I’m still turning the ball over. All of those good that I had, I still could have done a better job. That’s my mentality all the time. I’m just trying to play as hard as I can every time I step on the floor and help the team win.”
