After losing Game 1 of the World Series in heartbreaking fashion, the New York Mets will lean on ace Jacob deGrom in Game 2.

There’s no doubt that the New York Mets 5-4, 14-inning loss to the Kansas City Royals in Game 1 of the 2015 World Series was a shot to their solar-plexus. Although the AL Champs saw Matt Harvey grab a two-run lead and the untouchable Jeurys Familia a one-run lead, they didn’t flinch en route to coming back twice within a blink of an eye.
This is exactly why Jacob deGrom taking the mound in Game 2 sets up perfectly.
He’ll oppose the supposed ace of the Royals in Johnny Cueto. From a lineup standpoint, the only change Terry Collins makes is inserting a hot Juan Lagares into center-field, while Yoenis Cespedes shifts to left.
First pitch comes your way at 8:07 PM ET from Kansas City.
