Game One of the ALCS went to the New York Mets who got key contributions from Matt Harvey and clutch hitting from Daniel Murphy.

That’s the Harvey, Mets fans truly know of.
Like Jacob deGrom, Harvey is 2-0 in his playoff career but more importantly, put up a stud October performance that Mets fans will remember, outdueling Jon Lester.
In a season when people have criticized his toughness at times with the innings limit controversy, Harvey may have shown everyone today how tough and gritty he really was and that he was tailor made for October baseball.
Not only is Harvey starting to thrive this during time of the year, but perhaps the new Mr. October Daniel Murphy is too.
The way he’s been hitting this postseason, why not. And he added another chapter to his October heroics with another home run off Lester. Three of his four playoff home runs have come against left-handed pitching.
And considering Murph was benched at the end of the regular season vs lefty pitching, it was good to see him come through. Not only that, but the great defensive diving stop to preserve the Mets win.
This was a huge win for the Mets, considering Jake Arrieta will be on the mound for the Cubs in Game 2.
The Mets won’t have long to celebrate. They and the Cubs are right back it tonight.
