Now that August 31 has passed without Tom Brady and the NFL reaching a settlement agreement, the court process carries on.

It came. It went. We still have no resolution.
We’re still stuck in the same situation we were months ago when Troy Vincent officially handed down this hotly-contested four game suspension to the four-time Super Bowl champion.
According to Stephen Brown of the New York Times, the judge residing over the case, Richard Berman, said “We did not reach a settlement. The parties tried quite hard I think.”
Both Brady and Roger Goodell were in court together standing only feet away from each other. In fact, Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports claimed that neither man looked in the other’s direction. He also noted both appeared to be in terrible moods.
Judge Berman also said “In some cases (a settlement) doesn’t happen. This is one of those cases.”
Now that a settlement wasn’t reached, Brady won’t be able to report to his team on Sept. 5, barring an injunction or a swift court ruling.
However, Berman did make it a point to say he’d rule on the case in the next “day or two,” or “certainly before Friday.”
Just another day in the life of Deflate-Gate, the saga that doesn’t end.
