The American League, led by Mike Trout, has knocked of the National League by the count of 6-3 to take the 2015 MLB All-Star Game.
The 2015 MLB All-Star Game started very familiar, sort of like the 1989 game did.
With a bang.
Los Angeles Angels stud Mike Trout took Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Zack Greinke for an opposite-field laser-beam that cleared the right-field wall by a foot. The last guy to begin the MLB All-Star Game with a home run was Bo Jackson of the Kansas City Royals in 1989.
Trout finished 1-3 with two-runs and that solo home run to take home MVP honors, the second-straight season he’s done so.
The other big highlight from the AL’s 6-3 victory (especially in New York), came in the form of New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom. deGrom was dominant in the sixth-inning as he struck out the side cleanly, showing who had the best pure stuff on the night:
David Price picked up the win while Clayton Kershaw nabbed the loss as he gave up two-runs in the fifth.
