Even Eric Campbell smacked a home run in the New York Mets 4-1 victory over the Giants today. Jacob deGrom was brilliant yet again.

Dominant, filthy and absolutely locked in. These are the descriptions one would use if they saw Jacob deGrom pitch against the San Francisco Giants today.

The New York Mets lone 2015 MLB All-Star went eight-shutout innings only surrendering two-hits and one-walk while striking out 10. It went a long way in helping his team to the 4-1 victory.

Things went so well that delirium started to spread through the clubhouse after Eric Campbell smacked a two-run home run in the ninth-inning off of Jean Machi.

This provided New York with a 4-0 lead, one that Bobby Parnell and then Jeurys Familia closed out a half-frame later.

The Mets have now incredibly won five of their last seven road games.
