New York Knicks’ Enes Kanter and Frank Ntilikina didn’t take too kindly to LeBron James‘s actions at Madison Square Garden Monday night.

Get on your feet New York. Your Knicks are officially back.

Back in terms of winning titles? No. Not yet. They’re back in terms of showcasing a real basketball culture with legitimate fight and character.

With LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in town on Monday night, Madison Square Garden was treated to a little extra via LBJ’s comments about the Knicks passing up Dennis Smith Jr.

While we already know James wanted to stick it to ousted Phil Jackson, everybody also took it as a slight to rookie Frank Ntilikina. Even Enes Kanter publicly backed his rookie.

It all made for one solid narrative heading into this basketball game. And what do you know? Both Kanter and Ntilikina have already gotten into it with The King.

After a James flush via Dwyane Wade, he and the young rookie bumped a bit. Neither player wanted to provide an inch and a mini-situation ensued (video above).

Forget the regularly fragile Knicks who’d play patty-cake with the Cavs in years past. This is something new and the entire city is into it.

Just wait, folks. It’s only going to grow from here.
