The endless saga between the NFL and Dallas Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott reaches another result. Could this be the final nail in the coffin?
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Ezekiel Elliott has been suspended for the next six games of the 2017 NFL season.
But wait, there’s more. Which seems to be the theme of this novel, the Cowboys star has other legal actions he can take to delay/appeal the latest ruling per NFL Insider Tom Pelissero:
The current ruling has Zeke missing this Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons and the next five games following.
In layman’s terms, the Cowboys star, if the suspension holds, would be eligible to return Week 16 against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Cowboys do have insurance policies in the backfield in Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden. Both players have had varying degrees of success in this league and with the best offensive line in football should fare well without their mercurial star.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the soonest Zeke could return, even with legal action, is next week against the Philadelphia Eagles.
