The New York Islanders scored their 2nd powerplay goal of the game thanks to a beautiful passing play finished off by Anders Lee.

Anders Lee was able to find the twine for his sixth goal of the season, and the New York Islanders tied the game against the Washington Capitals.

With his sixth goal of the season, Lee is now averaging a point-per-game with 12 in 12 thus far. Lee also extended his point streak to what is now seven straight games.

Despite tying the game only 21 seconds into their third powerplay of the game (2/3 tonight), the Washington Capitals were able to regain their lead 12 seconds later.

Alex Chiasson came up through the right side of the ice and beat Jaroslav Halak five-hole to give Washington a lead at the end of the second period.

The Islanders currently trail the Capitals 3-2, but are outshooting them 22-17 thus far. The penalty kill has also been perfect tonight, going 3/3 thus far.
