The New York Knicks put up a good fight in the first half, but the Rockets high-powered offense was ultimately too much for them.

The Knicks got a little dose of reality from a familiar face on Wednesday night. Former head coach Mike D’Antoni—run out of the Big Apple by Carmelo Anthony—led the Houston Rockets to a blowout victory over the Knicks, 119-97.

Houston made 19 of their incredible 52 three-point attempts while New York made just eight. The Knicks just aren’t equipped to keep up with such a high-powered offensive attack.

Especially not on a night when Kristaps Porzingis struggles. The unicorn only put up 19 points on 7-of-18 shooting in 28 minutes. A big night from the Rockets spoiled a good game from the $71 million man.

Tim Hardaway Jr. had 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting. It’s a good sign that in two of his last three games Hardaway has scored 20-plus points. The new Knick is a streaky player, but right now he’s hot.

This also came on a night while the Knicks once again couldn’t control James Harden.

The beard had 31 points and nine assists, but he wasn’t alone. Backcourt mate Eric Gordon had 17 points while Ryan Anderson added 21 of his own. Clint Capela had a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds.
