Another rough week full of poor showings and missed opportunities is raising some serious questions around the New York Rangers.

Late October is too early to call any game a must-win, but the Rangers were close to facing a must-win scenario last week. With one exception, they fell flat on their faces.

Oh, Baby!

Here are some of the highlights from the past week.

Mats Zuccarello showed once again why he is one of the best playmakers in the league with a sick pass to Chris Kreider on Thursday night against the Coyotes.

Pavel Buchnevich broke out of a goal-scoring funk in a big way Thursday night, netting two goals against Adin Hill.

And the second one:

Rick Nash played in his 1,000th career game when the Blueshirts took on the Coyotes.

Lundqvist Hurt?

Henrik Lundqvist sat out in consecutive games for the first time this season as head coach Alain Vigneault went with Ondrej Pavelec in net. Lundqvist had a small collision Monday against the Sharks.

Who’s Hot?

Pavel Buchnevich faired pretty well this week scoring four points over his last four games. He found the back of the net three times while playing on the team’s fourth line.

Who’s Not?

Despite scoring an empty-net goal in the Rangers win against the Nashville Predators on Oct. 21, Jimmy Vesey is still struggling to put up points for the Blueshirts’. Vesey only has two points in twelve games, and both of those points came against Nashville.
