New York Knicks point guard Frank Ntilikina has a strong supporter in LeBron James’ high school teammate Romeo Travis.

New York Knicks fans aren’t the only ones who have been dazzled by Frank Ntilikina. He won over plenty of his peers in the French league before his NBA debut. One of those was Romeo Travis — close friend and high school teammate of LeBron James.

Travis spoke to Marc Berman of The New York Post about Frank’s game and LeBron’s knowledge of the Knicks rookie. Apparently, the best player in the NBA is familiar with Ntilikina.

Via NY Post:

“LeBron’s very knowledgeable about basketball, he knows about Frank and his background,’’ Travis told The Post from France. “I just hope Frank doesn’t have to guard him, though.”

Travis talked about Frank’s greatest strength: his passing. We know he won’t be a scorer, but it’s good to hear a former teammate talk about him this way.

“He can score but he’s not going to score a lot,’’ Travis said. “He’s just a guy who’s going to make a team better and that’s what he did for us. He may not even get a bunch of assists, but the swing, swing, hockey assist and make the right play.’’
