Guard D’Angelo Russell has been listed as doubtful for the Brooklyn Nets game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After scoring 27 points in last night’s loss to the Orlando Magic, D’Angelo Russell is not expected to play tonight against Cleveland.

Brian Lewis of The New York Post reported that Russell is dealing with a right knee sprain, suffered in last night’s game.

This is the play where Russell tweaked his knee last night.

It’s worth noting that the Nets guard has dealt with knee injuries almost exclusively in his career. He missed 19 games last year due to issues in both knees.

In his place, expect to see a starting appearance for backup guard Spencer Dinwiddie. He’s kept the offensive moving in minutes where Russell sat the bench.

The Cavaliers trio of Derrick Rose (ankle), Dwyane Wade (knee), and of course Isaiah Thomas (hip) are all out tonight.

Through the first four games, Russell is averaging 23 points and 5.5 assists per game. The Nets and Cavaliers will tip-off at 7:30 PM EST.
