According to Ian Begley of ESPN, the New York Knicks are resisting the idea of trading two of their young prospects for Eric Bledsoe.

The New York Knicks would love to trade for disgruntled Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe. If he comes at the right price of course. The rebuilding Knicks won’t compromise their future for a potential quick fix.

Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders reports that Phoenix asked the Knicks for Willy Hernangomez and Frank Ntilikina. That’s just too much for a guy with one year remaining on his contract.

Knicks fans breathed a collective sigh of relief when they heard from ESPN’s Ian Begley. Begley reports that the Knicks are “opposed to trading either young player.” New York’s willingness to deal Hernangomez could increase if he continues to ride the bench.

If you’re the Knicks, you need to hope that Phoenix lowers their demands. The new regime certainly can’t part with both young prospects. It’s better for the franchise to deal veterans like Courtney Lee and Kyle O’Quinn.
