Now sitting with a record of 1-6, the New York Giants hooking up with Penn State’s Saquon Barkley is looking more solid by the minute.

Folks, there isn’t much else to say at this point. Following a shocking win in Denver over the Broncos last week, the New York Giants put forth a less-than-mediocre effort at home against the Seattle Seahawks.

The final score in Big Blue’s Week 7 contest turned out in the 24-7 variety.

Initially, the defense looked stout. But it just couldn’t contain Russell Wilson and the passing game. Offensively, forget about it. The offensive line still stinks and there isn’t much Eli Manning could do.

This gets us to the exciting part of the story — the portion that allows us all to think ahead.

As you’ve already seen in the photo above, Penn State beast Saquon Barkley looks pretty good in blue.

Barkley, a man among beasts in college football who’ll most likely come away with this season’s Heisman Trophy, may be so good that whoever chooses No. 1 in this spring’s NFL Draft might have to buck the running back devalued theory and snag him.

On Saturday night, Barkley did everything for Penn State as they destroyed Michigan in Happy Valley.

Hey, this kid may just be the only back in the world who doesn’t need an offensive line. That’s a perfect marriage in the land of the New York Giants pathetic big heavies up front.
