Filip Chytil, the Rangers 2017 first round draft pick, was injured during Saturday night’s Hartford Wolf Pack game.

Filip Chytil, one of the New York Rangers two first-round picks in the 2017 NHL Draft, was injured during Saturday night’s game between the Hartford Wolf Pack and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Wolf Pack blogger Ricky Milliner broke the news. Information on the injury is hard to come by right now, but it appears he was involved in some sort of collision in the second period and did not return for the third period. The Penguins went on to win the game in a shootout, 3-2.

The 18-year-old, who lasted just two games in the NHL before being sent to the AHL, had scored four points (one goal, three assists) in five games for the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack had an afternoon game today against Bridgeport and Chytil was not in the lineup.
