Prior to their big Week 6 matchup with the New England Patriots, the New York Jets cut receiver Jalin Marshall while Kony Ealy is hyped.

It’s here. Week 6 of the National Football League is upon us and the New York Jets are moments away from running through the MetLife Stadium tunnel in the effort to take out Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

The winner will take sole possession of first place in the AFC East.

Allow that to sink in a little. Your tank-town 2017 Jets are 3-2 having won three straight and with a victory on Sunday, will be the top dogs in their division.

In terms of the game, everything’s been covered already. We have a feeling young Jamal Adams is going to completely change this series. He’s going to change the way the great Brady attacks this defense. No more slow-footed David Harris and Calvin Pryor replaced with Adams and Darron Lee is a game-changer.

Additionally, Leonard Williams and friends will have the spotlight on them in terms of creating up-the-middle interior pressure in Brady’s face.

On the injury front, Matt Forte and Kony Ealy will be returning. Bilal Powell and Muhammad Wilkerson are the two who may miss the contest.

For New England, Brady and Rob Gronkowski are playing. Only Rex Burkhead‘s status is up in the air.

Speaking of the ex-Patriot Ealy, he’s ready to take on his former teammates, via Rich Cimini of ESPN New York.

“I’m not going to say I hate them or anything like that,” Ealy told ESPN.com. “You never hear their players saying stuff like that. They focus on the here, on the now. That’s what I have to do. That’s what everyone in this locker room has to do. Be in the now.”

Kickoff comes your way at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
