The New York Rangers are in Toronto to battle the Maple Leafs on Saturday night as they search for their first win of the season.
The New York Rangers practiced before flying to Toronto, and NYRangers.com reported there were no changes in personnel at practice.It’s no surprise considering the Rangers don’t have an extra forward to add to the lineup.
Filip Chytil made his Rangers debut on Thursday, centering the second line. 1:50 seconds into the game he found himself on a 2 on 1 with Mats Zuccarello.
He attempted a pass when it appeared he had a clear shot. The pass was deflected, a lost scoring opportunity was the result, and Chytil will take that as a learning experience.
“Fifty-fifty to pass or shoot,” Chytil told The Post after Friday’s practice and before the flight to Toronto in advance of Saturday’s match against the Maple Leafs. “On my first shift, maybe I should have tried a shot, I wanted to score a goal on my first shift, that would have been the best feeling, but Mats was open and I made the pass.”
Proud To Be A Hockey Fan
This may be a little off the beat, but last night for the start of the Golden Knights and Dallas Stars the two teams lined up for the National Anthem. They stood one team in front of the other on the same blue line.
With the past few weeks of protests, kneeling and arguing over what it all means, these two teams stood proud, together, to show support one team to another for the mass shootings that occurred in Las Vegas last Sunday.
I have to say I have never been prouder to be a Hockey fan.
