Abby Hornacek, the daughter of New York Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek, roasts Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton by showing him a post route.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton made headlines on Wednesday when he laughed at a female reporter.

Charlotte Observer reporter Jourdan Rodrigue asked Newton about wide receiver Devin Funchess embracing the physicality of routes and if he got enjoyment out of it. Newton responded by saying “It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes like — it’s funny,” per David Newton of ESPN.

Rodrigue responded on Twitter saying, “I don’t think it’s “funny” to be a female and talk about routes. I think it’s my job.”

She went on to say, “I spoke with him after and it was worse. I chose not to share, because I have an actual job to do today and one he will not keep me from.”

Newton hasn’t apologized yet for his comments and now he has lost a sponsor. According to Rick Rothacker and Katherine Peralta of the Charlotte Observer, yogurt maker Dannon dropped the Panthers quarterback on Thursday.

“We are shocked and disheartened at the behavior and comments of Cam Newton towards Jourdan Rodrigue, which we perceive as sexist and disparaging to all women,” Michael Neuwirth, senior director of external communication for Dannon said in a statement.

The Panthers quarterback has been getting roasted on Twitter. One person who has roasted Cam is Abby Hornacek, the daughter of New York Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek. Hornacek tweeted a video of her throwing a football and showed Newton what a post route is.

Not only does Hornacek know what a post route is, but it looks like she throws a more accurate ball than Newton.
