Today’s Brooklyn Nets news features Jarrett Allen being named among those considered steals in the draft.

Every year, General Managers of the NBA take a survey featuring questions based on the draft and upcoming season. Today, the NBA released the results for this year’s survey.

When asked which teams earned steals in this year’s draft, Dennis Smith Jr. was voted number one. Yet to no surprise, Jarrett Allen’s name came up this year.

That’s enough recognition to get Brooklyn Nets fans excited for the team rookie. Allen is a 6-10, 234 pound center out of Texas University. Brooklyn selected him with the 22nd overall pick of the first round.

Ironically enough, Kyle Kuzma was 2nd place in the voting. He was selected by the Lakers with the 27th overall pick, which was apart of the Nets package sent to Los Angeles for D’Angelo Russell.

The Nets rookie impressed in the team’s preseason win over the New York Knicks. He recorded 5 rebounds and a block in 13 minutes of play.

He and the Nets will play their next preseason match against the Miami Heat on Thursday at 7:30 PM EST.
