On the morning of the 2017 AL Wild Card game, the New York Yankees announced the 25-man roster they’ll be going with.

As the New York Yankees look to advance to the American League Division Series for the first time since 2012, they announced the roster they’ll look to accomplish that with.

On Tuesday morning, the team announced the 25-man roster Joe Girardi will battle the Minnesota Twins with in the 2017 AL Wild Card Game at Yankee Stadium.

New York opted to go with 15 position players, with outfielder Clint Frazier serving as a right-handed bat off the bench and Tyler Wade available as a pinch runner or defensive replacement.

In addition, Sonny Gray is on the roster as an emergency option while CC Sabathia could serve as a long-reliever in case of extra-innings or a go-to left-hander if  Joe Mauer, Max Kepler or Eddie Rosario come up in huge spots for the Twins. Seven relievers follow them, making 10 pitchers available.

Loaded with bench depth, one of the best bullpens in baseball and quality emergency options, the Yankees have put themselves in a solid position to advance past tonight’s do-or-die contest.
