Hofstra University Men’s Basketball head coach Joe Mihalich joined Schwartz on Sports and admitted that he was “not shocked” by the scandal that hit Louisville. 

When one thinks of Hofstra, there are only a few standouts from a sports perspective. Those in the know understand the rich tradition of collegiate athletics over in Hempstead, New York, but some need to be reminded.

Wayne Chrebet, folks. The 5-10 little man was one of the most fearless wide receivers in National Football League history and walked onto the New York Jets in 1995 after a nice career at Hofstra. Born in Garfield, New Jersey, it was near the Island that Wayne-O decided to go.

Marques Colston, former wide receiver for Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints is another NFL stud coming from the east.
