Kyrie Irving got the last laugh by admitting that his comments about the Earth being flat were just an experiment.
After telling the world that he believed the Earth was flat earlier this year, Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving finally admitted that it was just a social experiment.

In an interview with Rich Shertenlieb and Jon Wallach of 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Toucher and Rich” show, Irving admitted he was trolling everyone when he said the world was flat.
“Look, look. Here it is. All I want to do is be able to have that open conversation,” he said, per CBS Boston. “It was all an exploitation tactic. It literally spun the world — your guy’s world — it spun it into a frenzy and proved exactly what I thought it would do in terms of how all this works. It created a division, or, literally stand up there and let all these people throw tomatoes at me, or have somebody think I’m somehow a different intellectual person because I believe that the earth is flat and you think the world is round. It created exactly that.”
So those comments were just an experiment? You had us fooled Kyrie. We’re still not sure what the point of it all was. He still hasn’t clarified whether or not he actually believes that the Earth is flat. Maybe we should send Kyrie into outer space so we can all have the last laugh when he sees that the Earth is round. Just like a basketball.
