The New York Yankees suffered a blowout loss to the Toronto Blue Jays but still have a chance to clinch with a victory tomorrow.

The sun will come out tomorrow! At least that’s what the New York Yankees are hoping for after that debilitating loss to the Blue Jays in Toronto.

However, it also seems that they may have gotten a new player in their clubhouse following the 8-1 loss last night.

It seems that a crazed fan found his way into the clubhouse last night, attempting to steal various used items from the team. This story was published by the Associated Press and was found on nypost.com.

According to the story, Todd Frazier and Tyler Wade were the heroes who chased him out of the clubhouse.

So, who could it have been? My bet is on Andrew Benintendi, hoping to steal on of Aaron Judge’s sweat-soaked towels in hopes that some of that home run power would transfer in the process.

No champagne showers were to be had tonight but that doesn’t mean they aren’t looming on the horizon. According to Mike Mazzeo on Twitter, all they need to do tomorrow is win.

So they couldn’t pull out the victory tonight to let the pieces fall into place but they still have a great opportunity today with Sonny Gray on the hill for the Bombers.

Maybe that’s the motivation they need to pull off a victory in Toronto and get that champagne flowing.

Most important question: which young Yankee will serve as the John Ryan Murphy of the group during the champagne celebration? My money is on Tyler Wade.

Hopefully we can celebrate sooner rather than later. Or maybe we can celebrate again after the Wild Card game, the ALDS, the ALCS and the World Series.

We can certainly dream, especially with this incredible team.
