Filip Chytil will be back in the lineup for the New York Rangers as they take on the New York Islanders for the second time this preseason.

The Rangers and Islanders will be squaring off for the second and final time of the preseason, as the two face off at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT. The home of the Islanders’ AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, will play host to two teams that have not lost thus far in the warm-up to the regular season in regulation, with the Rangers sporting a 2-0-0 record, and the Islanders are at 2-0-2.

The Rangers won their second game of the preseason on Wednesday, defeating the New Jersey Devils by a score of 4-3, as 2017 Rangers first-round pick Filip Chytil notched the overtime winner off a one-time 4:56 into the extra period.

In addition to Chytil, who showed off his great skating ability and nifty hands in Wednesday’s contest, Kevin Shattenkirk made his debut in a Rangers uniform, recording three assists in the game. Chris Kreider had two points, a goal and an assist, and Mats Zuccarello put up two apples, including the primary assist on Chytil’s goal. Henrik Lundqvist started Wednesday’s game, stopping 11-of-13 shots before Alexander Georgiev came in, and Georgiev recorded the win and stopped 15-of-16 chances.

For tonight’s contest, Chytil will be back in the lineup, as Alain Vigneault said that he will center a line with J.T. Miller and Pavel Buchnevich. As for the rest of the roster, here is a look at who will be dressing for tonight’s game for the Rangers:

As for the Islanders, they are coming off a couple of split-squad games that they played on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Islanders won 3-2 over the Flyers at the Barclays Center, receiving goals from Devon Toews, Johnny Boychuk, and Andrew Ladd. Thomas Greiss stopped 17-of-18 shots. In the other game, this one in Allentown, PA, the Islanders lost 3-2 off an overtime goal from Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere. Anders Lee and rookie centerman Matthew Barzal each recorded a goal in the loss for the Islanders.
