New York Knicks point guard Jarrett Jack says the fast-paced offense run by head coach Jeff Hornacek doesn’t contain triangle principles.
Voluntary workouts are underway for the New York Knicks, and the triangle offense is no more. That might be a bit dramatic, but it sounds like that’s the case after comments from new point guard Jarrett Jack.The 33-year-old told reporters that the offense he’s seen from head Jeff Hornacek is fast-paced and doesn’t contain any triangle principles.

“If there are, he hasn’t implemented them yet,’’ Jack said regarding whether Hornacek has mentioned the triangle. “So far, it’s a lot of much more fast-paced offense, moving, cutting, more ball movement. From what I understand, that’s the crux of it for now.’’
Jack is a smart player who’s thrived in a fast break offense before.
He had one of the best seasons of his career with the 2012-13 Warriors; a team finished fourth in pace factor (estimate of possessions per 48 minutes).
Jack creates an even greater logjam at the point guard position. He’ll be competing for a roster spot while on a non-guaranteed contract.
