ESPN released their player rankings on Tuesday, and New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony slid down 33 spots from last year.

Carmelo Anthony is the 64th best player in the NBA, according to ESPN’s annual NBA player rankings. Anthony finds himself one spot above Boston Celtics reserve guard Marcus Smart and one spot behind Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.

Other names Anthony trails include Eric Gordon, Avery Bradley, Devin Booker, Danny Green, Harris Barnes, Andrew Wiggins, Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Covington, Danilo Gallinari, Andre Drummond, Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez.

Anthony was ranked 31 by ESPN a season ago, one many viewed as too low for the 10-time All-Star. Suffice it to say, Knicks fans are not thrilled with ESPN’s ranking of their franchise player.

Sports Illustrated, whose rankings for players 50-31 came out the day before ESPN’s, had Anthony at 37. Anthony’s teammate, Kristaps Porzingis, was ranked 33 in SI’s rankings but has yet to appear on ESPN’s list.

Carmelo Anthony averaged 22.4 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 43% from the floor last season.
