The New York Jets made a blockbuster trade last week that was looking ahead to the future. Head coach Todd Bowles shared his thoughts.

It was a trade that had been in the works for months, but finally before the season opener for the New York Jets, they got it done.

Head coach Todd Bowles finally provided his first thoughts on the trade publicly following the first regular season practice of the season:

It truly was at the end of the day.

The Seattle Seahawks received that much scarier on defense with the addition of Sheldon Richardson. A very talented player that was possibly one of the most frustrating in history.

In four years, he accumulated 18 career sacks and over 200 tackles. But more than the statistical achievements, Richardson made an impact on the defense. He showed the potential and promise that awarded him the defensive rookie of the year honors.
