The New York Yankees have reportedly named the six prospects heading to the Arizona Fall League this season.

According to Joel Sherman of the NY Post, the New York Yankees are sending RHP Dillon Tate, OF Estevan Florial, LHP Justus Sheffield, SS Kyle Holder, SS/2B Thairo Estrada and 1B Chris Gittens to the Arizona Fall League.

The Yankees have utilized the AFL to their advantage over the last number of years, as some of the organization’s top prospects — Gary Sanchez, Aaron Judge, Greg Bird and Gleyber Torres, just to name a few — have all suited up for the fall ball season.

The front office will continue to trot out big names once again.

Florial — who MLBPipeline considers as the Yankees fourth-best prospect — is the top youngster of the bunch. Fans will get a better understanding as to why the Yankees didn’t want to part with him in the Sonny Gray deadline deal. Both Sheffield (five) and Tate (14) are two high-upside pitchers that will look to continue their growth. The trio of Holder, Estrada and Gittens may not be highly-touted prospects but they’ll have a chance to gain additional notoriety out west.

Fortunately for some of these players, they’ll have a familiar face leading the charge. According to Matt Kardos of Pinstripe Prospects, Trenton Thunder manager Jay Bell will hold the same position with the Scottsdale Scorpions. Sheffield, Tate, Estrada have all played under Bell this year.

For its 26th season, the Arizona Fall League will begin on October 10 and will have games played until November 18.
