While speaking to the Associated Press, Derrick Rose reflected on his crazy tenure as point guard of the New York Knicks.

Derrick Rose never clicked with his teammates during his brief tenure as a member of the New York Knicks. It wasn’t that he was a problem in the locker room, but he never fit into whatever it was that New York claimed was their offense.

The former MVP briefly reflected on his tenure in New York while speaking with Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press. Rose tells Reynolds that the “craziest” part of his time with the Knicks was on the court. Not surprisingly, he had some trouble picking up the “confusing” strategies.

Via AP:

“On the court was when it was the craziest to me,” Rose said. “Some of the strategies and all that, I didn’t understand. It was confusing. It was just a learning experience.”

The new Cavs point guard has been thrown into some drama in Cleveland with the Kyrie Irving nonsense happening before he even suits up. What went on in New York this past year was a good warm up for Rose.

The former MVP never developed chemistry with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis like Phil Jackson hoped he would. The Knicks predictably let him walk in free agency despite his many pleas during the course of the season to return.
