New York Knicks president Steve Mills made news when he omitted Carmelo Anthony from his blog post outlining his vision for the future.
When you’re the face of the franchise, typically you’re included in season ticket promotions. That wasn’t so for New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony when the team released their image via Twitter featuring youngsters Kristaps Porzingis, Willy Hernangomez, and Frank Ntilikina.The trend continued when president Steve Mills released a blog post outlining his vision for the team’s future. Mills left Anthony out of the post entirely. Mills mentions Porzingis, Hernangomez, and Ntlikina of course, but also Tim Hardaway Jr. and Ron Baker.

In defense of the new boss, the ten-time All-Star has one foot out the door. He wants to be traded the team wants to trade him. It’s what’s best for everyone at this point.
Anthony wants to be in Houston, but recent reports suggest that talks have stalled. Despite this, the 32-year-old still holds all the card with his no-trade clause, so it’s hard to believe the deal won’t eventually happen.
