The New York Rangers made an interesting move in announcing Bobby Farnham will attend training camp next month.

Larry Brooks of the New York Post is reporting that that former Montreal Canadian and New Jersey Devil Booby Farnham will attend New York Rangers training camp on a personal tryout. The 28-year-old joined the league with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2014 and has only played 67 NHL games in his career. He last appeared in a game on January 19, 2016, with the Montreal Canadians.

For his career, Farnham has eight goals and two assists. All of his goals occurred when he was a member of the New Jersey Devils during the 2015-16 season. In his 67 games played, he has amassed 138 minutes in penalties. This training camp tryout looks to be one to see if his aggressive style can be used in the Rangers lineup, one that his limited holes but also doesn’t feature a standout physical presence.
