Ian Begley of ESPN New York elaborates, explaining that the deal is expected to be completed by the end of the day and for the veteran’s minimum.
Beasley, 28, has had a bumpy road after being drafted by the Miami Heat back in 2008.The Knicks will be his sixth team before he turns 30. He was forced to spend a year in China to build his stock back up.
There was always considered potential with Beasley that went unfulfilled. People forget there was some debate as to whether he should go first overall ahead of future MVP Derrick Rose.
The former star appeared in 56 games last season with the Milwaukee Bucks. He posted averages of 9.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks on a slash line of .532/.419/.743.
