David Aldridge of TNT ranked the Brooklyn Nets offseason moves 16th in the National Basketball Association thus far through the 2017 summer.

The Brooklyn Nets made some key acquisitions this summer for both the upcoming season and era of rebuild. A recap of the Sean Marks summer 2017 playbook:

Late Monday evening, David Aldridge of TNT released his off season rankings, placing the Nets at 16th out of 30.

“Taking on all that salary (including Carroll’s remaining $30 million) eats up a little of Brooklyn’s future cap flexibility, but no one was coming there via free agency, anyway. “

The biggest cause for Brooklyn’s grade was likely the $50-plus million they took on in salary. However, as Aldridge put it, was likely their best move.

Aldridge also notes the looming reward on the end of this rebuild, as head coach Kenny Atkinson has seen first hand with other teams.

“It’s what coach Kenny Atkinson did in Atlanta and it’s already paying dividends with the Nets, where young guys like Caris LeVert have gotten better quickly.”

General manager Sean Marks put Brooklyn in place to get some wins under their belt this year. The rebuild continues to advance, with even more talent at it’s disposal.
