New York Knicks‘ Carmelo Anthony only has eyes for the Rockets, but DeMarcus Cousins still wants us to know he’d like to play with his buddy.

At this point, it’d be surprising if Carmelo Anthony agreed to a trade anywhere except for the Houston Rockets. The New York Knicks are stretching this out as long as they can, but it seems inevitable.

That doesn’t mean that stars from other teams don’t want to throw their hats in the ring. First, it was Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum from the Portland Trail Blazers; now it’s New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins, Anthony’s teammate on the U.S. National Team, took to social media recently to express his approval of the idea of the ten-time All-Star joining him.

According to SBNation’s The Bird Writes, Cousins liked a fan’s tweet contemplating Melo moving to New Orleans and quoted it with the word “facts” then a day later liked an Instagram post from another fan mentioning the aforementioned like. Of course, like any good millennial, he used the eyes wide emoji.

Melo, Boogie, Anthony Davis, and Jrue Holiday would form a pretty feared foursome, but it’s likely a lot of talk for nothing. I can’t see Anthony waiving his no-trade clause to go somewhere that’s not a big market.

The Knicks made some news on Monday with their new executive hire. The guy they brought in is Craig Robinson, and it’s news because he’s Barack Obama’s brother in law.

Robinson’s hiring was first reported by Shams Charania of The Vertical saying that Robinson will be involved in the front office.

Ian Begley of ESPN New York went to say that Robinson will be involved in player development like he was in Milwaukee. They developed young players well in Milwaukee, so this seems like a good hire for the Knicks.
