Amed Rosario will make his long awaited Major League Baseball debut for the New York Mets on August 1st in Colorado.

Finally, the time has come for Amed Rosario to put on the orange and blue and take his spot as the starting short stop for the New York Mets. The fans are extremely excited and rightfully so. After hearing about Rosario for years, he has now officially arrived.

The future is now and Rosario is set to take the league by storm. Rosario is the number two prospect in MLB’s pipeline and is the number one prospect in baseball according to Keith Law.

 

Rosario signed with the Mets in 2012 and tore it up at the plate in his minor league career. In 452 games, Rosario batted .291with 205 RBI, 82 doubles, 35 triples, 17 home runs, 60 stolen bases and 236 runs scored.

In 95 games with the Las Vegas 51s this season, Rosario drove in 58 runs and had 19 doubles, 7 triples, and 7 home runs while batting .328. Rosario also stole 19 bases.
