According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, the New York Knicks have agreed to a one-year, $2.3M minimum deal with Ramon Sessions.

The New York Knicks found their veteran point guard. After weeks of searching, they’ve settled on former Charlotte Hornets floor general Ramon Sessions.

Shams Charaiana of The Vertical reports that New York and Sessions, 31, have agreed on a one-year $2.3 million minimum deal.

The Knicks were looking for a veteran point guard to mentor rookie Frank Ntilikina and help out the returning Ron Baker.

They couldn’t have found a better option with Sessions. New York will be his eighth team in his 11th season. The guy has been around the block.

For those expecting him to start, don’t be so sure. Sessions has been a reserve for a majority of his career. In 663 career games, he’s recorded just 143 starts.

The newest Knick is coming off a 2016-17 season in which he struggled.

Sessions played only fifty games before being ruled out due to a knee injury. Now, he’s coming off surgery on that knee.

Hence, why he was still available as we’re almost in August.
