We’ve been waiting for Aaron Judge’s first home run for the New York Yankees after his show at the All-Star Game. It did not disappoint.
30 home runs in the first half. You’d think it would get old for the New York Yankees and Aaron Judge.
Nope, Judge just continues to find ways to absolutely amaze us all.
Judge took a 76 MPH curveball deep in the top of the fifth inning. And deep is an understatement as Judge practically knocked that ball out of the entire ballpark.
The three-run shot put the Yankees up 5-1 over the Seattle Mariners. Judge drove in four of those runs today, adding a sacrifice fly in the third inning.
Better yet? Upon his return to the dugout, starting pitcher CC Sabathia made sure that Judge watched the replay to see where it landed. No matter how many home runs you hit, that distance still has to shock you.
The homer marked Judge’s 31st of the season and first of the second half. And with one major blast, Judge has homered in yet another ballpark.
