With the All-Star festivities drawing to a close, the New York Yankees have even more to cheer about as they enter the second half.
Aaron Judge had his time to shine and now it’s a day for the New York Yankees to show off their newest awards.
This morning, the Yankees were named the no. 2 most valuable team, according to Forbes Magazine. Ranking only behind the Dallas Cowboys, the Yankees were one of eight MLB teams to crack the Top 50.
According to the article, penned by Kurt Badenhausen, the Yankees are worth $3.7 billion and boast the highest sponsorship revenue in the major leagues. They also have gone up 9 percent in value since last year.
Among other New York sports teams to make the list are the Knicks, Mets, Jets and Giants.
We knew they were valuable. Now we have the Forbes proof to back it up. All right, Yankees!
With all the hype surrounding yesterday’s All-Star Game, you might have missed this incredible tidbit from the Yankees Double-A affiliate, the Trenton Thunder.
Playing off of Judge’s monster performance in the Home Run Derby, the Thunder decided to overlay Judge’s 513-foot home run onto their stadium. The results were epic.
That’s right; Judge would’ve almost crushed that home run to a different state! It’s one thing to see how powerful he is. It’s another to see if displayed in such an awesome graphic.
