More bad news in the form of Steven Matz on this edition of the New York Mets Amazin’ News. On the bright side, Amed Rosario speaks.

Can you believe it? More bad news has come down the road in terms of the New York Mets organization.

The 39-47 Mets, coming off a 6-0 shutout at the hands of the St. Louis Cardinals who hit lefty Steven Matz hard, have now lost two in a row and five of their last six games. They sit in fourth place in the NL East, 12 games behind the Washington Nationals.

What else could go wrong?

Well, now it seems the injury bug is hitting the young arms on the farm, as Mark W. Sanchez of the New York Post explains. Both Cameron Planck and Thomas Szapucki have gone to the shelf with worrisome injuries.

On a bright note, the MLB Futures Game happened over the weekend and two young positional players were front and center.

Catching prospect Tomas Nido drove in two runs while super prospect Amed Rosario spoke, discussing Jose Reyes, the man he’ll eventually replace (hopefully soon).
