The Boston Celtics are reportedly interested in acquiring New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis – who they’re willing to move via trade.

After news was leaked this morning about the New York Knicks interest in trading away forward Kristaps Porzingis, one suitor has emerged.

According to Stefan Bondy of The NY Daily News, the Boston Celtics are interested in a deal for Porzingis.

When it comes to formulating a potential deal, the Celtics have a plethora of trade assets. They have number three pick in this week’s NBA Draft, the Brooklyn Nets 2018 first round pick, as well as young up and coming players Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown.

News of the Celtics’ interest in the Latvian comes after his brother, Janis, was on the record saying that Porzingis wants to stay in New York, but is frustrated by the dysfunction within the Knicks’ franchise.

Last year, Porzingis averaged 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, as well as 2.0 blocks per game.
