New York Mets prospect Tim Tebow came to town. The New York Yankees farm team made sure to make him remember it.

While all the focus is on the New York Yankees Triple-A squad in Scranton, their Class-A Charleston RiverDogs team is the one making headlines.

Famed quarterback-turned-outfielder Tim Tebow made his first appearance at Charleston with the Mets Class-A affiliate the Columbia Fireflies.

And while the Riverdogs roasted the Fireflies, taking two of three, they also took their chance at roasting Tebow himself.

Notice the bible verse strategically written on the eye black? That looks slightly familiar but I just can’t put my finger on it.

It looks like Charlie RiverDog, the mascot for the Yankees Class-A team, is a big fan of Tebow.

Clearly, as he imitated Tebow’s famous “Tebowing” pose after the RiverDogs emerged with a victory Saturday afternoon.

The trolling just turned more savage from there, as Twitter became the primary source of saucy captions for the Tebow Show.

Oh, and the RiverDogs went there. They played a clip of Tebow crying after Florida’s loss to Alabama in 2009.

After all that, the RiverDogs won the series and won the trolling game. Tim Tebow took the harping well and despite the jokes and laughs had at his expense, we still wish the best for him.

Besides, he brought in 21,145 spectators in to watch the three-game series. That marks Charleston’s three largest crowds for the season.

Guess the classy Tim Tebow got the last laugh after all. Touche, my friend, touche.
