Matt Reynolds New York Mets

The New York Mets made a move this afternoon, just not the one that fans have been anticipating for quite some time.

Just a day after Neil Walker was sent to the DL, add Matt Harvey and Juan Lagares to the seemingly never-ending list of New York Mets to hit the disabled list in 2017.

Matt Harvey was placed on the 10-day DL due to stress on his scapula in his throwing shoulder. Harvey is expected to miss several weeks and the Mets will go back to a five-man rotation, as they did not recall a pitcher.

After finally beginning to hit, Juan Lagares suffered a fractured IP joint in his thumb on Thursday night after a diving attempt on a shallow fly ball.

The New York Mets officially recalled OF Brandon Nimmo and IF Matt Reynolds from Las Vegas this afternoon.

Amidst the struggles the Mets are facing, there was still some great news today.

For the first time in what seems like a decade, both Michael Conforto and Yoenis Cespedes are starting at the same time. Terry has the Mets best two hitters batting back-to-back at the top of the lineup tonight.

How many more injuries to position players is it going to take before Sandy finally makes the call for Amed Rosario? Apparently not today.
